Use the Momentum

Think of a snowball rolling downhill. As it does, it gathers speed, collects more snow and ice, and increases its momentum. This makes it more powerful, harder to stop, and potentially more impactful when it finally stops or hits something.

Too often, when the momentum is with us – when we’re gathering speed, strength, and more success – we stop and coast. Remember, we’re designed for bursts of activity followed by long periods of rest.

But what if we used the momentum? What if we pushed through that last or that extra 10% while everyone else coasts?

This extra push with the momentum is where the exponential, outrageous successes come.

The fascinating part is that it’s usually not the extra effort. It’s usually just the gathered momentum and the willingness to do the last little bit that others aren’t.

Don’t just relax and coast. Use the momentum when you have it.
