Make worry equal action. 

I like this little internal soundtrack idea. I spend a lot of time worrying about possible scenarios (most of which never come to pass) so that I can be prepared and not caught off guard. However, turning concerns, possible conversations, and possible outcomes over and over again in my head does nothing. 

The best solution is to take action. 

Identify the desired outcome or goal on the “big thing” that has you worried, identify the next physical, visible action or “waiting for” item that will move you closer to that outcome, and get to work. 

Throughout my life, I’ve tried to do this more and more and faster and faster when worry creeps in. I’ve found no better solution. 

So, if you find yourself in a constant state of worry about all kinds of things, perhaps remember and apply this little soundtrack for some relief.
