Do What’s Right

Doing the right thing. When it’s easy. When it’s hard. When you feel like the lone crazy person. When your passion exceeds double everyone else’s. When you hit a wall, and when you bulldoze through it.

Exhausting? You bet!

There’s no quick fix. There’s no secret sauce or special strategy. There’s simply a fire within all of us that forces us to do what’s right. Even when it’s hard. Even when we don’t want to. Even when we’re beaten up and beaten down.

This is not about controversial issues or opinions. This is about the hard truths we all know, but that very few want to see through to their proper conclusion. Never confuse the two.

Keep going, get up, try again, and trust your intuition for what’s right. Never give that up. The world needs more people to do what’s right. Even when we’re tired, when it’s not fun, and when it’s hard.

Whether it’s getting up to exercise, passing on that one more drink, standing up to that out-of-control co-worker, or having that difficult conversation with someone you love, do what’s right. Do it today, tomorrow, next week, and every time.

In the long game, we usually don’t regret doing what’s right.
