Very few things inspire confidence more than swift, decisive action.
Many organizations find themselves and their leaders in difficult, challenging, even crisis situations. This can create chaos and concern internally and externally.
The best leaders act, and act swiftly and decisively. Very few things inspire confidence that things are under control and going to be alright than swift, decisive action.
Will you make mistakes? Yes. Moving quickly will result in some unforced errors. However, my experience demonstrates that people are much more forgiving when they see a leader doing the right thing to address and move through a tough situation decisively. Much more grace and forgiveness are offered in those moments of error.
Be swift, be decisive, be in control. Very few things will inspire confidence like that.
